** A dilettante's journey in gardening
I love the pussy willow. I have never outgrown the childhood delight of seeing the little fuzzy catkins on the branches. In fact, once the leaves grow in, I feel a little sadness.
Oh, pussy willow! You have a much colder winter but you have pussy willow. Beautiful.
What a fine sight for starved eyes those lovely pussy willows are. -Jean
LifesHwy - that was such a profound comment... about feeling sad once the leaves grow! So true!Tufa Girl - even before I was into gardening, way back when I was little, there was just something about pussy willows! L.O.V.E 'em!Jean - 'starved eyes', Amen! I had to just about put my cheek to the ground to take pictures of emerging perennials! It feels like Winter is never going to leave - as we head into a weekend of mid-30 degree temperatures! :(
Oh, these are the sweetest plant ever! They're sooo soft!
My co-worker use to bring in Pussywillow branches every spring for the entire office to enjoy. What a wonderful sight in the spring!
The promise of things to come - lovely Shyrlene!
Spring is on its way!! Thank heavens!!
